Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains what information ThinkTank AI ("we", "the app") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Account information. If you create an account, we store your email address and name as provided during sign-up or via Google sign-in. If you add customer details on your Account page (phone number, address or birthday), those are stored too — and you can edit or clear them at any time.

Chat content. For account holders, messages you send, replies the AIs generate, and attached files (photos and PDFs) are stored so your history is preserved. Files are stored privately and are only accessible through your own account.

Usage information. We collect basic analytics about how the app is used (e.g. which features are popular) to improve the product.

Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe (appearing on your card statement as "GEEK TECH LABS"). We never see or store your card details — we keep your subscription status and a record of any top-up packs you've purchased, so your credits can be tracked and used.

Free-offer anti-abuse checks

Free-offer anti-abuse checks. The free image & welcome-video offer is limited to one per person, so we check a few signals before it can be claimed. These checks apply only to the free offer, are never visible to other users, and are not shown anywhere in the app:

  • Your email address must be verified, and one-time or disposable email domains can't claim the offer.
  • A one-way hash of your email address — with common Gmail aliases (dots and +tags) normalized first — is stored so a different alias of the same mailbox can't claim the offer again. We never store your raw email address in these audit records.
  • An anonymous browser fingerprint id (derived from your browser's characteristics, not your identity) is stored to limit one welcome video per device.
  • A one-way hash of your IP address limits how many welcome-video claims can come from one internet connection within 30 days.

The hashed audit records are kept with your account's free-offer record and are not used for marketing or profiling. To have them removed, contact support.

What is saved, and what is only processed

Saved history (account holders). When you are signed in, your conversations, messages and attachments are stored in the app's database until you delete them — so they are there the next time you sign in.

Guest chats. If you chat without an account, your messages are processed in memory only and are not written to our database. They are gone when you leave the page — that is what "guest chats aren't saved" means. Attachments you upload as a guest are still sent to the AI providers to answer your question, but no conversation record is kept.

Processing and technical logs. Generating a reply means transmitting your prompt (and any attachment) to the AI providers. Separately from your saved history, the platform keeps short-lived technical logs — error messages, request metadata and similar operational records — used for troubleshooting and security. These logs are not your conversation history and are not shown in the app.

How AI providers process your data

ThinkTank AI routes your prompts to third-party AI providers — Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI (GPT) — which process your messages and any attached files to generate responses. Image and video generation is performed by the app platform's AI generation services. Those providers handle your data under their own privacy policies and terms. Do not share sensitive personal, medical, financial or confidential information in your prompts.

Service providers

The app relies on the following services to operate:

Base44 — the app platform that hosts ThinkTank AI: its hosting, database, file storage, user authentication, and its built-in AI image and video generation. Uploaded photos and PDFs, and generated images and videos, are stored in the app's private media storage on this platform; private files are only accessible through temporary, expiring access links tied to your account.

Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI (GPT) — the AI models that generate chat responses.

Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions.

How we use information

We use the information above to operate the service (delivering AI responses, saving your history, processing subscriptions), to communicate with you about your account, and to improve and secure the app. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention and deletion

Your conversations stay in your account until you delete them — you can delete individual messages or entire conversations in the app at any time (generated images and videos are removed with their message). To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact support.

Cookies and local storage

The app uses browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your session. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact support.

Children

The app is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 where required by law), and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
